Although, he was declared healthy by the doctors and it was just due to the lack of sleep. He was hospitalized in 2018 after he suffered a heart attack. Rick was on life support but was discharged by the hospital in a few days. This was a difficult phase in the Rick Ross Weight Loss journey.

But he says that he has always been the big black fat guy, “I was always the black man with the cheap shoes, and I have always had thick skin. But I never cared, I can take a joke and I can give a joke.”
He blames his diet and lifestyle for his weight gain. He says that he rarely ate fruits and was crazy for junk foods and sodas. Fast foods were his all-time favorite menu, contributing to the weight gain.

Rick Ross’s Diet Plan
Rick Ross suffered two seizures in a single day, his 300-pound body was not the matter of concern then but he started dieting and had lost 100 pounds in the last seven months by eating healthier. Diet plays a crucial role in Rick Ross Weight Loss journey.
His daily eating included lots of veggies and fruits; grass-fed lamb chops, roasted cauliflower, kale, Asian pear with cinnamon.
He gives the following tips for a good diet:
1. Stop Soda
He says it’s good to eliminate soda as it consists of lots of calories in it.
2. Meal Timings
Rick says it’s better to have your heaviest meal in the day and keep the lighter one for the dinner. It’s easier to consume calories in the day time by moving around but after dinner, you just sleep which burns fewer calories.
3. Be Hydrated
We all know water plays an important role when it comes to the shredding of the weight. So, drink as much water as you can. If you don’t like the normal taste of water, try adding some fruits in it to make it flavored water.
