Born on March 2, 1980, Rebel Wilson is an Australian actor, producer, and writer. She was born and brought up in Sydney, New South Wales. Rebel graduated from Australian Theatre for Young People in 2003 and started working in a comedy series Pizza.
She also wrote, produced and got starred in the musical comedy series Bogan Pride. She moved to the United States where she performed the role of Brynn in the movie Bridesmaids. Though she has always appreciated herself and her body type, later she realized that she doesn’t need to be such huge size to get roles in movies and that, now, she must take care of her body.
Criticism and Body Shaming
Rebel became the talk of the town after her tremendous success in the movies. Not only positive but negative responses rounded her. Her weight became the fun factor and media started criticizing her for her massive body. Some of them started body shaming. She broke down into tears when she opened up about being bullied by the “media”.
In an interview, she became emotional while describing the words media used for her. She added, “They were just absolutely brutal and bullied me to the ground.”
She explained the situation she faced and the pain she felt.
“They have no idea how actually brutally hard it is… yes, I am an actress and am in the public eye. But I am a human being.”
The Inspiration for Weight Loss
Despite her love for food, Rebel understood at that point of time how it is impacting her lifestyle and health.
She became more responsive to health when she moved to Los Angeles, California. From being curve-conscious she turned to be conscious about her health and fitness.
She began her weight loss journey in 2016. And to our surprise, she lost around 30-40 pounds. Although it was difficult for Rebel to shed her weight like any other normal person as she has hormonal imbalance disorder.

No specific diet plan of Rebel’s routine has been shared by her nutritionist. But it has been mentioned that healthy fats and lots of fiber were the essential part of Rebel’s fitness regime.

Foods like tuna fish, mackerel, salmon, herring and Grass-fed beef are some of the favorite foods of her. Other than that she also bags her hands on Avocado shake, almond buttermilk, hummus with vegetable chips and tortilla.
She expressively says that she started over counting fibers and not the calories. So we guess fibers make a huge impact in changing your body size. One can change their diet routine and add fibers in them to lose that extra fat from the body. An apple a day can keep that extra fat away!
Exercise Routine of Rebel Wilson
She started her exercise retreat in 2016 at Malibu, where people go to relax and get recharged. She lost approximately 8 pounds after four days of hiking, massages, exercising and eating vegetarian food that too organic.
Rebel didn’t opt for heavy and intense exercises rather she worked out 4 days a week and made better food choices. She increased her activity level throughout the day. Rebel aimed for 30 minutes to 1 hr exercises per day. She has been seen doing cardio exercises, hiking, walking etc to maintain her fitness.
This really helped her shed that fluffiness from her body and transformed her. It was a big surprise from her to the fans.
Rebel’s Message to People
Rebel understands how important it is to stay fit and healthy for a woman. She took specific and quick steps towards it which were quite impressive. And yes we can see the effective results too. Losing 30-40 pounds made her look much attractive and sexy. She is being more confident than ever.
Rebel says, “There are so many glamorous actresses, but you know what? In the real world, no one looks like that.”
“I think women out there should just be happy with how they look and they shouldn’t really try to conform to any stereotype. Just be happy, and hopefully, healthy.”
