He talks about his weight loss plan saying, “I really wanted to lose my weight and become fit and healthy. I gained much weight after filming War Dogs in 2015. It took me two years to shed those extra kilos from my body.
My trainer helped me a lot in achieving my goals and along with this I was into Japanese diet totally.” He remembers the incident with Channing and says, “Hey, if I eat less and go to a trainer, will I get in better shape? Will it help?”

Jonah Hill’s diet plan is very delicious and mouthwatering.
He says that “I removed one major thing from my diet.” Jonah was a sucker for beer. He did not completely eliminate bear but at least he tried doing that.
His main part of his diet routine was munching into Japanese food. He ate a lot of that.
He introduced “Sushi” into his diet, a lot of them. Sushi is typically low in calories and rich in heart-healthy omega- 3s and selenium. It helps in boosting immunity and helps in maintaining a healthy metabolism. He was so into eating sushi that “Sushi of Gari”, a restaurant of sushi, became his favorite spot in New York while filming for The Wolf of the Wall Street.

Apart from this Jonah needed to get hold of his food cravings and create a proper diet plan, Hill visited a nutritionist who suggested him to eat more fruits and nuts and vegetables, lean protein like chicken, whole grains, and low-fat dairy products. He could also snack on some healthy shakes for his cravings.
He was also asked to write whatever he eats in a mail to the nutritionist. Although it did not go as it was planned, there were ups and downs in his eating habits at first because of his love for food, but Hill managed it later. He told a news channel, “It was mostly the diet that helped, I did not go for any pill or there was nothing like a genie or something. I went to my nutritionist and he told me what I shall do to change my habits and stuff.”
Jonah Hill’s Exercise Routine
Hill was almost unrecognizable after his extraordinary weight loss transformation.
He started his workout with running, actually with slow running and then increasing the pace. It helped him out very broadly to start up with other exercises.
He started doing planks, push-ups and gradually increased it to 100 push-ups per day.

We use to drink beer and watch movies and eat pizzas. It wasn’t like I was going to restaurants or anything like that. Eventually, it was time to grow up and be healthy and be responsible and start taking care of you. You cannot live and be like a kid forever, you know.”
